Job Summary:
The Game Manager is responsible for assisting with management and supervision of Aspen High School sporting games/events with empathy and integrity.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and/or college experience
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Rules and regulations related to athletics
- Demonstrate strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work well with others and have positive attitude
- Ability to organize, supervise and set priorities
- Ability to multi-task and exercise good judgment while working in a dynamic environment
- Ability to respond sensitively to common inquiries or complaints
- Ability to supervise and manage others
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Ability to gain all clearances and requirement set forth by federal, state and local regulations
- Playing and/or coaching experience preferred.

To accept the responsibility of the program and work with the general population in the sport assigned.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Accept and implement the athletic philosophy of Aspen High School.
- Follows the rules and regulations of the school, conference and CHSAA.
- Serves As liaison between Aspen High School Athletics stakeholders, officials, visiting teams and spectators
- Adheres to Aspen High School Athletics Emergency Action Plan
- Maintains order and safety throughout the event/activity
- Work cooperatively with all Coaches, Athletic Directors, and Officials
- Record, submit and maintain necessary forms and paperwork
- Report injuries to Athletic Trainer, Athletic Director, coach as incident happens or is reported
- Enforce all rules of the Aspen School High School, Aspen School District, CHSAA, and League related to event management and spectatorship
- Monitor spectator behavior and enforce sportsmanlike behavior. Ensure a positive environment free of hazing, harassment, bullying and intimidating language and behaviors
- Oversee the safety condition of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted
- Enforce rules and regulations concerning facility use, viewing and admittance
- Supervise and run the admission and gate fee, making sure it is manned and operating
- Provide supervision of facility, coaches, student-athletes and views until they have left the building and/or site
- Ensure that all windows, doors, and gates are locked in any area that has been used
- Communicate effectively with all members of the District and community
- Maintain confidentiality
- Give input about and then carry out the interscholastic schedule as drawn up by the Athletic Director.
- Regularly inspect equipment and facilities to insure the safety of each student athlete.
- May be responsible for game statistics, and disseminating team information
- Organize and participate in an end of the season information and evaluation sessions with all assistant coaches.
- Represent the school in a professional manner in demeanor, language, and conduct (based on standards established by the Athletic Director).
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of the sport.
- Announcing the team lineup/starters before the game (@ Gym or Stadium Turf)
- Play National Anthem (@ Gym or Stadium Turf)
- Operate the LED Scorer table (@ Gym)
- Lighting set as needed
- Any other responsibilities assigned by the Athletic Director/HS Principal but not limited to below:
- Attend Mandatory Meetings with Athletic Director
Terms of Employment: Part time / Game days only / Employment obligations will be defined by Athletic Director’s needs
Reports to: High School Athletic Director
Evaluation: Performance of the job will be evaluated on an as needs basis
Evaluation Coordinator: Aspen High School Athletic Director.
Evaluators: Athletic Director.
